The MH9B little buddy is a 4,000-9,000-BTU portable, indoor safe radiant heater. A single 4,000 heat setting delivers sufficient radiant heat for a space up to 200-square-feet. Safety features include a tip over switch that will shut the heater off if it gets knocked over and a low oxygen sensor that shuts the heater off when oxygen levels in the room get too low. The pilot design will also shut the heater off completely if the pilot light goes out. Heater uses a knob for ignition and a separate single button acts as a kill switch. Clean burning and nearly 100-percent efficient. CSA approved and factory tested with a one year warranty. Tank not included. (not intended for use in California. See item F232025).

I bought one of these from a local store. It works well and I got 4-5 hours of use from the 1 pound canister of propane. The only drawback is when I used it in my deer stand the wind kept blowing the pilot out thus the heater went out. If you can block the wind with a skirt around your stand it may help. I have used the heater in the house and it works fine and really does heat up the space even on low setting.

This is my second Mr. Heater product, I also have the smaller version. This is a significant improvement in both heat capacity and being “Indoor-Safe”. It has proven very effective and reliable, and it makes living aboard my boat in the winter (Chesapeake Bay) quite comfortable. Especially this winter, ’09-’10.

Great product – does what it was designed to do – good source of pleasant heat for
my wooden chair repair service. The shop is very small, so i generally turn on “my Buddy” for about `15 mins, then off – to save fuel.

it is now 100+ degrees but in a few months it will be cold and i will be using my mr heater to keep me and my dogs toasty at the dog agility trials all winter. it’s easy to set up and use and i am always looking for someone at the trial who has one of these. now i have my own…
